Experiments and diagrams illustrate how the pituitary gland exercises control over other glands and over growth, how parathyroid glands partially control calcium in the blood, and how insulin from the pancreas controls metabolism of sugar. Also describes how the thyroid affects respiration, and how certain hormones stimulate the growth of mammary glands.
