Enameling

An introduction to the process of enameling on copper shows the step-by-step procedures form initial preparation of the copper to finishing, demonstrating various dry-charge techniques for applying the frits. Examples illustrate the flaws which result from applying too thin a layer of frit, failing to counter enamel, removing the piece from the kiln too soon, and firing the object before the base is dry.
