Description: "General Eisenhower receives huge welcomes in all the cities he visits on his way home. In London the DeGaulle receives him while Parisians give out with a resounding cheer of welcome. He flies to the States in President Truman's personal plane and at a Kansas City White House he is greeted by Mrs. Eisenhower. Nine thousand policemen are required to keep New York in order as the traditional ticker tape shower resembles a snowstorm. At West Point he reviews new troops. At Kansas City he greets his mother and brothers and again parades the streets among huge crowds. His home town Abilene, Kansas, puts on a pageant of the old West in his honor." Film world
