Description: Foradic stimulation of the hypothalamus and the sigmoid cortex is accomplished through implanted needle electrodes. The effects of various drugs are observed during separate or simultaneous stimulation--alcohol, dilute alcohol and metrazol are injected directly into the hypothalamus, morphine is intraperitoneally injected and sodium amytal is administered intravenously.
