Description: Demonstrates, in acute and recovery preparations, hypothalamic stimulation through electrodes inserted by the Horsley-Clark stereotactic technique. Shows sympathetic and motor responses produced in both groups, which in recovery preparations, constitute typical sham rage. Shows how bilateral destruction of the hypothalamus causes stupor and catalepsy and how perihypothalamic stimulation produces partial effects which are diminished by intravenous injection of amytal.
