Description: This 1967 film is a light-hearted look at the correct methods of manual handling in order to avoid back strain and injury. The film shows footage of factory and manual labourers handling various heavy loads, including using equipment to aid safe lifting. This footage is interspersed with examples of everyday strain such as women hanging out the washing and lifting a baby from a pram; and moments of slapstick comedy as a man struggles to carry his bride over the threshold of their house and a man lifts a keg of beer at a barbeque.
