Drilling & Tapping a Cast Steel Valve Body

Shows the technique used when drilling and tapping blind holes in cast steel on a radial drill. Setting up the work, setting the jig, and clamping the work in place on the table are shown. Calculating the size of the tap drill and the method used when setting the maihine to drill a number of holes to the same depth is demonstrated.
