Dream city

A rapid-fire trip on a New York City subway introduces this study of the metropolis. Combining experimental and documentary techniques, the film features scenes of abandoned buildings, street life, Coney Island and the freneticism of Times Square. These are accompanied by the voiceover comments of young people who discuss the effects of gentrification and the ever-increasing gap between rich and poor.
