Downhill Skiing

[Music] we have a company that you can join for free and kids in every neighborhood belong it's the funny company cause it's just for bunions so come on running when you hear our song [Music] toys [Music] those funny company brats and their friend nunu the eskimo i hear them say he found gold mine and he wants them to help him [Laughter] well come on gang let's get going yes we've got to get to new news mine stake a claim and bring back a sample of the gold ore to the assay office plunge on [Laughter] she's coming i'm not so good on snowshoes what did nunu say he said you'd do better on ski i don't know how to ski either oh it's easy well it's easy to fall down and skis anyhow no terry skiing is a great sport and more and more boys and girls are learning how to handle themselves every day you should learn from an expert skiing instructor although you can ski on practically anything it makes it a lot easier if you have the right equipment and that means a certain kind of ski boot that has a groove around the heel into which you tighten the ski bindings as they're called and then you need ski poles to help you stand steady and to keep your balance when skiing some places that you ski have what are called ski toes that will pull you to the top of the hill so that all your skiing is downhill but you should be very careful of mosquitoes and know how to use them one of the first things that you learn in skiing is how to turn around when you're on skis and you do this by swinging your leg out putting the heel of the ski into the ground and kind of crisscrossing your legs and then swinging the other leg around to match the new position of the first ski you moved one of the first things you do is to take a run downhill weaving in and out among some poles you put into the ground and this is called slalom slalom slalom anyone then you learn how to walk uphill and you do this best sideways and then you learn how to stop or slide slowly downhill the way you keep control is to turn up on the ski edge and the biting sharp edge of the ski kind of slows you down as it cuts into the snow skiing is really easy if you have the right instructor i think you gave good instructions jasper well here's our gold sample and our claim is in this tin can let's go boy i'll say i'll go change claim to say it's mine and beat them to pound with sample on my trusty skis my own inventions come on violet ski down it's easy oh i'm scared but here goes congratulations is right oh boy look how i go hmm follow tracks downhill hey look at those tracks i saw that done once ah so high hopes [Music] he said some wolf sounds happy he ought to be look the wolves around here eating style please usually it's more vegetables [Music] and now it's time to go we hope you liked our show and we'll be back as quick as one two three and when we meet again we hope you'll be here then [Music] you
