Description: "A beautifully-photographed color film on the life and land of the people of Ecuador. It opens with a train ride up the steep mountains to Riobamba, the stop-over on the way to Quito. The landscape is breathtaking, consisting of snow-capped mountains above the flat desert in the valley below. The Indians are industrious though backward in their methods. Among the ruins the pre-Inca and Inca remains are the huge mounds. The Otovalle Indians are shown at a Saturday Fair. A more intimate view of life among one Indian family shows the extent to which they depend on hand-woven cloth, spun, woven and dyed by hand. The film ends with unique and beautiful air views over the snow-covered volcanoes of the craters." School management
