Maureen Stapleton and Paul Sorvino star as the couple whose life changed when the wife decided to reexamine her life. She gets a group of her friends together for some informal ‘consciousness raising’ and the women talk of their lives, revealing uncertainties and the poor images they have of themselves. Against Joe’s wishes, Connie goes out and finds a job, after which the two reach an understanding and seem willing to respond to each others needs. (Being a Woman Series).
