Shows the development of the bird embryo by means of speeded-up cinephotomicrography and diagrams, using a chick for early stages and a wren for the last stage and hatching. Includes the technique of mounting an embryo for observation, and shows the establishment of circulation, action of the heart, and development of three membranes--yolk sac, amnion, and allantois.
