Design for disaster

Description: In 1959 brush fires in the Los Angeles forest area made fire officers describe the region as being a “design for disaster”. This film shows the fire in November 1961 which destroyed 250 homes, without loss of life. It explains its causes and tries to suggest possible remedies.
