They hope to dig up evidence of a king who in the time of Moses defeated the Israelites on their way to Canaan. During their trip, they visit a Bedouin family of nomads, see the Valley of Elah where David slew Goliath, and re-enact the storming of Masada, the last stand of the Jews against the Romans in 72 AD. The children do make a find, which does not prove their point, but which is nonetheless treasured since it is part of their country's history.
