Looks at DES, a synthetic estrogen given to women during the 1940s to 1960s which wound up causing such problems as cervical and vaginal cancer, genital deformities and sterility in their offspring. Interviews DES victims who relate their personal experiences and medical authorities, consumer advocates and a representative of the pharmaceutical manufacturer.
