Delta Model: model launched from catapult, in flight, and on fire (undated)

Description: Film #10 from the Alexander Lippisch Papers, MS 243, Special Collections Department, Iowa State University Library. This film shows Lippisch and his colleagues testing a delta wing model aircraft. The model is launched from a catapult, glides to a landing, and then apparently catches fire. This film was most likely shot near Cedar Rapids, Iowa, during the 1950s.
