After a serious car accident, a young woman whose parents are separated and like herself intent on lives of pleasure or business, is placed in a room with a seventy year old lady, who writes to and receives loving letters from her eighty-one year old husband to whom she has been married for nearly fifty years. As time passes the two become warm friends until Josette dies leaving a special gift for Julie who then, passes it on
