Presented by the Office of Emergency Preparedness under the direction of the Hospital Council of Southern California, this 1971 government film profiles the disaster preparedness strategy developed by a network of hospitals in southern California. After chronicling how the plan was created, the film next shows how the hospital network put the plan into action during a disaster exercise. Robert Yarnall Richie, who produced this film, was a freelance industrial photographer and filmmaker who worked with various large corporations in Texas and around the globe.
