Description: A German language film with English subtitles. Tells the story of Dr Karla Schroeter, the assistant of a surgeon, whose new boss drives her into higher and higher ambition, overwork, stimulating drugs and alcohol. Continues as Karla finds herself admitted to an asylum, where she finally realizes what has happened to her and that she has allowed herself to be pushed into a profession normally occupied by men.
