Description: A German language film with English subtitles. Tells the story of four sisters, all elderly, who manage for years to escape their numerous debts and debtors by moving from one place to another, avoiding capture by their chief persecutor Herr Gobel. Continues as the women manage to acquire a villa in the Mosel Valley, invite everybody in the city for the opening, and are finally captured by Herr Gobel. Concludes as the sisters escape from the probational home in which they have been placed, avoid new arrest, and flee, leaving behind many debts.
