Creative art in rural America

Description: The University of Wisconsin is situated in the town of Madison, in the heart of the Middle West. One of its many educational functions is to inspire and encourage the development of arts and crafts among the many rural groups and communities throughout the State of Wisconsin. Many exhibitions of rural art are arranged and instruction and guidance provided by the resident tutor and the University Extension Department, which sends out art teachers to instruct rural groups throughout the State.
