Description: One in a series of four IUAVC films documenting theatre arts, this film illustrates the step-by-step creation of costumes for a theatrical production. Begins with pre-production conferences (involving the costume designer, the director, the choreographer, and the set designer) and demonstrates costume research, design (including production of preliminary and final sketches), cutting, assembling, and fitting. Concludes with a view of wardrobe maintenance-laundering, folding, boxing, and storing.
