Convair 600 (1965)

Produced by General Dynamics, this 1965 industrial film introduces the company’s new Convair 600 aircraft. The film documents the aircraft’s first flight on May 20, 1965, as well as highlights the benefits of its Rolls-Royce engine. Trans-Texas Airways, a Houston-based airline with passenger service to airports across the United States and multiple in Mexico, was one of many to add Convair 600 planes to its fleet.
