Segment from film on Anthozoans (coral), shot of brain coral, shot of Portuguese man-o-war. 3. Shots of sow bug overturns, horseshoe crab overturns, lizard buries itself under dirt. 4. People dressed in insect costumes (ant, ladybug, caterpillars) play checkers, knit, fish with rod and reel. Resemble life size bugs more than people, crawl on all fours, find a map with an “x”, drive in MG sports car along highway, top down. Spider eats bee. Wasps build nests. Winston Hibler is narrator B&W 6. Teenage boy playing ball in well-manicured suburban backyard lawn. Next door neighboor, father-type, Mr. Murray (balding, with paunch) is raking his lawn, tells disbelieving boy it will rain tomorrow. Mr. Murray looks to sky as nodding and smiling as his VO narration tells us he is right, for he is a weatherman. Exterior shot of forlorn boy staring out window, rain drizzling down. He stands at window, punches his catcher’s mitt, goes to sit with kid sister on couch. Next day, Mr. Murray volunteers to take boy and spunky kid sister to weather station. Kids and weatherman get in 1950s car. LS of kids and weatherman walking in front of weather station, (white dome on top). Walk to outdoor thermometer station, shots of spinning thermometers, needle and graph recording temperature (a la seismograph).
