Description: This 1968 promotional film from the Cessna Aircraft Company almost wordlessly demonstrates the benefits of flying your own plane, whether for business or pleasure. With good flight conditions reported, amateur pilots head to their respective Michigan airports and prepare their Cessna aircraft for takeoff. A family of four takes a day trip to Mackinac Island in Lake Huron. Two young women fly down to Chicago, Illinois for a shopping spree. A businessman jets from Grand Rapids to Benton Harbor to inspect a construction site. And in Muskegon, student pilot Pat Byrnes takes a flight test. Scenic views and easy-to-handle planes ensure pleasant trips for all. As the pilots head home, silhouetted against the setting sun, a narrator encourages the viewer to “add a new dimension” to their life by getting a plane of their own.
