Description: Episode number 8 of Series “Pioneers of photography”. The theory of three colour photography had been known since the beginning of art but early methods were clumsy. Louis Lumiere devised a process in the late 1890’s which was not marketable and it was not until his autochromes became available in 1907 that colour photography was possible for everyone.
