Looks at the introduction of time and motion study principles to what has occurred in the workplace, particularly highlighting the work of Frederick Winslow Taylor. Shows the effects of the application of these studies to the employment situation and the way in which technology has made redundant many skilled occupations of the past. Useful in looking at changes in the workplace.
