Circling the globe in comfort

Description: Historical documentary of a round-the-world trip by the 23,000 ton Dutch liner, the “Willem Ruys”, beginning from Sydney and calling into Wellington (NZ), Lima (Peru), Balboa (Panama City), Miami, Bermuda, Southampton, Rotterdam, passing Portugal, Gibraltar and Malta to Port Said and into the Suez Canal. From the Suez Canal the voyage then continues on through the Red Sea to aden, into the Indian Ocean to Colombo, then Singapore, across the Equator past Java and Christmas Island to Cape Leeuwin and finally arriving in Melbourne.
