Description: This modernistic version of the fairy tale has Cinderella fanning the flames in a highly stylized industrial forge. Her futuristic adventures are presented with the help of video effects, computer animation and a contemporary score. Beckman deconstructs the story and sets it to the mechanical repetitions of a game. Cinderella is projected back and forth from the hearth to the castle, never succeeding to fulfill the requirements of her character's traditional role.
