CHRIST IS BORN

[Music] [Music] [Music] our story begins in ancient Rome capital city of the fabulous Roman Empire here ruled the Caesars men who held the power of life and death over countless million whose every wish it was for the people who obeyed Caesar Augustus then emperor of Rome signed a new decree which was read before his court it is my wish that all persons and my Empire pay taxes each shall journey to the city of his father's and their register [Music] [Music] from far and wide the peoples came moving slowly but steadily forward each to his own native city the way was long and hard for many but they were bound to obey the will of the Caesar commercial planes to sandy deserts they came from Syria to Zavala from Bethany to came from the belly of the Niles of the banks of the Jordan [Music] from the province of Galilee out of the city of Nazareth came Joseph and his wife Mary Joseph was upper house and lineage of David therefore he went to the City of David called Bethlehem [Music] Joseph was a good man a tender a gentle man the Lord had chosen him to watch over me the mother of his son and Joseph was mindful of the trust to get at his wife Mary he remembered what a child shall call him Jesus Joseph heard and understood but the son to be conceived and Mary was of the Holy goal and that he would save his people from their sin all these things Joseph now had in mind and he was troubled for he must find shelter for Mary and the expected son Jesus in Bethlehem as they entered the gates of the city they saw that it was already overcrowded people from all parts of the country were there [Music] Joseph he must have ruined his wife is in need of shelter please give her room but the answer was no go away no room [Music] in all parts of the city people were being turned away [Music] discouraged but not without hope Joseph tries another door but the answer was the same no room go away [Music] wherever he tried the answer was always the same no room go away no wrong [Music] seeing that it was hopeless to find a roof in Bethlehem Joseph led Mary out of the city to farmland beyond there he found an old deserted stable this was their shelter their refuge [Music] [Music] meanwhile in Jerusalem the capital city of Judea Aaron the king of Judea will be in question three men of the East had traveled far looking for a new king where is he there where is he that is born King of the Jews Herod listened with attention he knew nothing of this King yet he was fearful lest this new king be a threat to his throne he called his scribes and demanded of them to find where this new king was to be born [Music] the scribes searched through all their great books to see what the prophets had written [Music] yes it was there Herod was told that Christ was to be born in Bethlehem of Judea [Music] Harrod listened well to the words of the prophecy and bow Bethlem in the land of judah are not the least among the princes of Judah for out of thee shall come a governor that shall rule people Israel but Herod was a shrewd King and forms a plan to use the wise men as tools to find the Christ child go he told them go and search diligently for the young child and when you have found him bring me word again that I may also come and worship Him [Music] little aware of Herod's treachery believing him to be sincere the three wise men from the east left to continue on their search for the young king as the wise men left the palace of the treacherous Herod they were not aware that he was watching them gloating they were interested in completing their quest in finding the new king as before their guiding star which they saw on the east where de ghin and moved on before [Music] eret was pleased with himself with his cunning but fools let them bring me word of this new king i'll worship him in my own way about this time not far from Bethlem simple Shepherds witnessed a vision in the heaven the glory of the Lord shone round them and a voice spoke to them fear not I bring you good tidings of great joy for this day of the city of Bethlem is born a savior which is Christ the Lord let the heavenly host sang their praises to come [Music] the shepherds followed the hand and the voice of the Lord go and find him you shall see the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger [Music] and they came to the stable and found Mary and the child [Music] they looked with wonderment at the Son of God lying in a manger being poor people they had no gifts to bring the child but they gave thanks for the things they had witnessed that night [Music] then they left the stable and hurried to tell the people of the things they had seen and heard meanwhile the three wise men had traveled from Jerusalem to Bethlehem following the storm [Music] they saw the star standstill over Bethlehem and they knew that this was where the child lay in the stable Mary and Joseph milk before their son and praised God for the great privilege the student [Music] when the wise man at last found the child was stable they could not help but wonder what a poor place this was for a new king to be born [Music] nevertheless they laid before the bad gifts of gold frankincense and myrrh was a token of their honor and esteem [Music] the entrance of the Son of God into the world was accompanied do you realize this night the parks the Christ child was to play in the lives and the hearts of all men [Music] serene the strange beauties surrounded the child Jean a feeling of peace bill beer but all was not peaceful inherits palace in Jerusalem Herod had waited for word from the wise men having received none he decides to act without further delay kill all children and Bethlem and the country around two years old and under he orders [Music] thus was given the order for the massacre of many children and the cause of great lamentation and weeping among the people of Israel [Music] and Herod was pleased with his greatness but God was watching over the child as the wise man was set by their temple the Lord made himself known returned not to Herod but go back to your own country by a different way and the Lord came to the stable Joseph was asleep and the Lord spoke to him in a dream arise Joseph take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt stay there until I again bring you word for Herod will seek the young child to the noise [Music] Joseph had heard the Lord and told Mary what had been told him we must go quickly what anguish what sorrow must Mary the mother of god had felt as she heard that there were those who seek to destroy her son Joseph knew love the Lord had chosen him to protect Jesus so he hastened to follow his directions Mary took Jesus from his prude bed for the last time and wrapped in tension there was great people to her already a Herod's men were on their way searching for the stable [Music] from the crest of a hill the leader saw but stable in the distance and pointed the way [Music] Josephat Mary and the child roma donkey and hurried to me because he knew Herod's men must be close by [Music] other soldiers of Herod were already carrying out his ruthless orders [Applause] tearing babies away from their mother's arms [Music] leaving sorrow and misery in their weight it was well that the child Jesus was being safely carried away to Egypt to be protected until the time came for his delivery [Music] in Egypt Joseph took up his old trade of carpentry to earn a living for Mary and Jesus one day as he worked away in his shop the Lord spoke to him again take the young child and his mother and go into the land of Israel while they are dead which sought the young child's life so Mary and Joseph from the Child Jesus returned to their own country they walked in the Sun prophecy of last life which would be the light of the world for in him all nations of the earth west Christ had come and the light of his life can never dim he shall be called wonderful counsellor the mighty God the everlasting father the Prince of Peace the Saviour of the world and his kingdom there shall be no [Music]
