Description: The film shows Girl Scout Troop 85 attending a special Mass for "Girl Scout Sunday" at Saint Mary Cathedral's in San Francisco, March 9, 1947, the same year the Girl Scouts' were celebrating the 35th anniversary of their founding. Saint Mary's Cathedral was the second cathedral built in the Archdiocese of San Francisco in 1891, and was located on Van Ness Avenue near the corner of Gough Street until it was destroyed by fire in 1962.
