Description: This lyrical documentary chronicles the forty-five year collaboration between the late composer John Cage and choreographer Merce Cunningham. Caplan traveled with Cage and Cunningham between 1983 and 1990 to record the pair's artistic alliance and their associations with important figures in the spheres of art, literature, dance and music. Footage of world tour performances are combined with archival films dating back to the beginnings of the men's careers.
