Broken Hill

Description: After a brief history of mining at Broken Hill, New South Wales, shows modern mining operations there, refining of lead at Port Pirie, South Australia, and of zinc at Risdon, Tasmania, then the other industries associated with the original Broken Hill enterprises. Iron mining at Iron Knob, South Australia, the New South Wales iron and steel works at Newcastle and Port Kembla, Tasmanian copper mining and treatment, and some of the final products are shown.
