Brief city: the story of London's festival buildings

Description: A tour of inspection of the Festival of Britain South Bank Exhibition photographed during the last ten days of the Exhibition. Emphasis is placed on the architecture of the Exhibition, explaining why it was planned as a “giant toyshop”, why it was given no processional vista, and how the Exhibition was regarded as an experiment in modern building and architecture.
