Blast from the Past

Shows how new footage is blended with historical film clips to create "timeless" scenes in such films as Forest Gump and Last Action Hero. A behind-the-scenes look at Forest Gump shows how star Tom Hanks was able to shake hands and talk with President Kennedy thirty years after Kennedy's death, and how Woody Allen met Babe Ruth and Adolph Hitler in his comedy, Zelig. Viewers meet the digital effects team from DreamQuest (The Abyss, Total Recall) and learn how they finished production of The Crow without its main star.
