Beginnings of vertebrate life

Description: Reveals complex processes by which a one-celled egg, becomes a many-celled, highly organized individual. Shows by means of time-lapse photography and animation the embryonic development of a small fresh water fish, Oryzias latipes, illustrating early processes of fertilization, cell division and formation of the blastula.
