Description: Episode of Series “Great Composers”. This film deals with Beethoven’s music up to 1806. John Ogden at the piano plays the “Appassionata” from the “Tempest Sonata” and with Brenda Lucas the early “Sonata for four hands”. Von Karajan conducts Symphony no. 3 (the “Eroica”) op. 55 and the Gabrielli Quartet plays “Rasoumoffsky Quartet” no.2 op.59.
