Description: Recounts the life of artist Beatrice Wood, framed through a variety of answers to the question, "What is Dada?" Born in 1893, Wood embodied the artistic lifestyle of the early twentieth century in New York City. Befriend by artist Marcel Duchamp, she gave up acting for drawing, through which she recorded the most imiportant events in her life. Filmed in California at age 100, Wood demonstrates her techniques with pottery, her final medium of expression linking her to the heady times of the Dadaist movement.
