Description: This video shows basic wrestling techniques taught at Iowa State University by coach Harold Nichols. The slow-motion footage shows teammates Dan Gable and Dave Martin as they demonstrate a variety of techniques including stances, hand positions, penetration, take downs, escape reversals, the whizzer, counters, breakdown to pin, and scissors. This video was transferred from a 16mm film housed in the Special Collections Department, Iowa State University Library.
