Produced by Harold Jenkins, the "World in Color" films were a series of shorts sold by mail order, and in national parks and other tourist destinations. This one provides views of Banff National Park in the mid-to-late 1940s. It was photographed by J.L. Cook. The film begins with shots of the railroad station and grand Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, and then shows wildlife including deer and bears. At 1:45, a ski lift is shown transporting visitors up the mountain, and then continues with shots of the hotel including pool area.
