Baggage

Filmed in San Francisco, this lyrical parable on the mental burdens of a young girl (played by renowned Japanese mime, Mamako Yoneyama) is a blend of music, drama, dance, photographic, imagery and architecture--without narration. In a series of episodes--in front of row houses, in a church, at an office plaza, at a baggage locker, and at an airport--Mamako wrestles with her baggage, rids herself of it, regains it, and finally surrenders it in death.
