is for is hi everybody this is Skip Alzheimer welcome to the avgeeks lunchtime streaming show where we watch old 16 mimer films and since today is a leap day I wanted to show films about calendar and that was this wonderful uh raw outtakes of a cornet film that I saw that had a lot of calendar footage in it so I wanted to share that and so what we're going to do today is show films like that last film about calendars and uh these there's I there might be one or two that are um things that I've shown in the past but um yeah these are all almost all recent things that were have just been recently scanned from the Cornet collection and from some other places so um here's uh fun with um calendars [Music] enjoy [Music] what do you think these boys and girls are going to do oh they're feel it way down here all right now let it out have you ever seen a clown like me with a great big mouth that is wide and free now see if you can make the sounds that I make but watch my lips and listen ah [Music] oh o now see if you can make these sounds a o e oo now wide for a try it ah no no no wider yet now don't forget ah good now round for o get your lips out round you'll make the sound oh and a big smile for e e and a quick change for ooh [Laughter] [Music] ooh now say it ah [Music] oh ooh a o e [Music] o what what was that why here is a kitten with four little paws I wonder if we can say that word Paul Paul Paw Paw and now if we listen we can hear the [Music] kitten I wonder if we can sound like a kitten meow meow meow Oh look The kitten is lapping her milk lapping lapping lapping her milk now you say it lapping lapping laughing her milk and now little kitten we must say goodbye bye-bye little kitten bye-bye now who would like to try to make the sounds we learned about the kitten Gary paw PW P that's right Diane meow meow meow good Steve laughing laughing laughing fine now would you like to hear the clown tell us about some more sounds [Applause] yes hello here I am again shall I see what we can find in this box let me look oh what have we why it's a rabbit a rabbit see I know a poem about a rabbit now in this poem we will want to say together running around a rock now you say it running around a rock now let's say the poem together a big white rabbit can jump and hop when running around a rock when running around a rock he has a fluffy white tail that bounces when running around a rock when running around a rock his feet go up and his head goes down when running around a rock when running around a rock did you like that poem now let's see what else we can find in this box why it's a toy drum do you know what kind of sound a drum makes listen now you try it I'll play it Thump Thump Thump Thump Thum D thump now let's try another th sound which we can use news in a story about Susan Susan lives with her mother her father and her brother she waves goodbye to her mother her father and her brother so we say the story together Susan lives with her mother her father and her brother and Susan says goodbye to her mother and her [Music] father and her brother now would you like to learn a poem about Susan we want to say skipping to school skipping to school now you try it skipping to school skipping to school all right good Susan wears a pretty plaid skirt when skipping to school when skipping to school she carries her lunch in a red and white box when skipping to school when skipping to school she always is careful when crossing a street when skipping to school when skipping to school did you like that poem what was that sound was that the sound of a train can we make the sound of a train now can you hear the train let's look at it goodbye boys and girls all right who can find some pictures of animals in this room that make the sounds that we learned from the record all right Steve Nancy we did learn the sound of the kitten we did learn the sound of the dress from and we did not learn the sound of the Penguins and we did not learn the sound of the reindeer and we do know the sound of the train oh could we act out the poem about the bunny of course yeah be it of course are you people over here ready to say the palem yeah are you ready all right a big white rabbit can jump [Music] and would you like to act out this poem or the one about Susan learning speech sounds can be [Music] fun all right sorry I had to do some dishes there um but uh yeah calendars are fun and that's what we're doing today we're watching films about calendars because it's a leap day and a leap year and it's kind of a weird concept to have an extra day every four years and uh somebody pointed out in the comments yes this is uh the First Leap Day of the avgeek streaming show uh we've been doing this since March of 2020 and so we're coming up on the fourth year uh but um yeah so there was a leap year in 2020 but we weren't doing the show then okay so this is uh who are we calendars enjoy 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 [Music] 1 talk talk talk people talk all $550 b g 550 thank [Music] you so that abruptly ended that was kind of strange but um yeah uh this next one is uh toothache of a calendar [Music] enjoy [Music] [Applause] he [Applause] [Music] [Music] h [Music] [Music] oh he this go this go [Music] [Music] [Music] uh [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] come on [Music] in [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] w come in Mr clown please come in poor [Music] clown you can't brush with tooth th here's your friend Lynn he didn't have any cavities next patient [Music] please oh Mr clown let's take a picture for first where a picture of your tooth Mr clown hold the film for me [Music] uhuh there wasn't that easy uhhuh well Mr clown you have a big cavity you'd better take better care of your teeth Susie can I have a mirror open real big like an alligator big as you can oh real a there is the cavity Mr clown that's what's hurting let's put that tooth to sleep for you one little pinch way back there there how does that feel M that should make it feel [Applause] better wide as you can oh don't you worry now real good this will make it feel a lot better there we go now we'll get the candy bugs out of there okay uh real good you must have been eating a lot of sticky food Mr clown did you know that the bacteria that cause Decay live in sticky food and raise big families there we are Mr clown do you know how to prevent cavities uhuh it's important that you keep the inside of your mouth clean at all times Susie why don't you show them how to do it you should brush or rinse every time you eat you brush your teeth the way they grow down from the top up from the bottom you brush the chewing surfaces and the backs of your teeth do you understand that uhhuh well Mr clown that ought to make you feel better you take care of those teeth [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] the wow that was the most intense film about calendar uh that we've ever shown uh so the the regular soundtrack to that film there's no narration it's just this really bad background music of like banjos and so I felt like you know what pendaki he he can bring it home so um but but I'm going to call it today you know this is an extra day in the year and uh digging up all these films about calendars was a lot of work so I think I'm going to call it uh but I appreciate Uh Kevin for donating uh appreciating Today's Show I appreciate all of you folks
