Automotive Safety Foundation PSA - Sam McQuaig

Sam McQuaig is a professional driver. His specialty is stock car racing. He's an expert. Sam says he proved the value of safety equipment at Darlington Raceway during the Southern 500, when his car went out of control and crashed. When something like this suddenly happens, you're not thinking much about safety. By then. It's too late. The time to think about safety is when you first get in the car. It wasn't just luck that let me walk away from that wreck. Without a seat belt and shoulder harness combination I'd have sure been a goner. I always use most belts in my passenger car. Remember the seatbelt is only half of it. The shoulder belt is just as important. You use them both. Even on short trips. Fact is most accidents happen close to home. So don't you be caught off guard, always buckle up. Seat and shoulder belts could save your life too.
