Description: This 1960s promotional footage for Trans-Texas Airways (TTa) captures views of downtown Austin, including the Texas State Capitol and University of Texas at Austin campus, as well as shots of TTa flight crew and passengers disembarking airplanes, most likely in the company’s headquarters of Houston. Previously known as Aviation Enterprises and later known as Texas International Airways, TTa was a Houston-based airline with passenger service to airports across the United States and multiple in Mexico. The company merged with Continental Airlines in 1982, which merged with United Airlines in 2010.
