Description: This film, shot in the 1980s by Austin filmmaker Louis “Red” Adams, captures runners crossing the finish line of the annual Austin American-Statesman Capitol 10K race. Supporters line up along the south shore of Town Lake (now Lady Bird Lake) to welcome race participants as they made the final turn along the race route. First run in 1978, the Capitol 10K is now the largest 10K in Texas and six largest in the nation. Can you determine the year of this Capitol 10K race?
