Asian Earth

Photographed in the lower Ganges Valley, in India, this film sketches a picture of the life pattern of a tenant rice farmer and his family in a fairly prosperous region of India. Told by the wife, the story pictures typical life situations, problems, work habits, feasts, religious rites, and philosophy of the Indian peasant.
