Artist in Manhattan

A portrait of Jerome Myers, a key figure in the famous Ashcan school of American art and one of the founders of the historic Armory Show of 1913. His paintings and drawings depict New York City at the beginning of the twentieth century with its colorful streetlife, band concerts in Central Park, pushcart vendors and hot summer evenings in parks along the East River.
