Arnhem Land

Description: Records the 1948 joint Australian-American expedition to Arnhem Land. Shows field work of scientists collecting specimens of insects, birds, fish, mammals, flowers, vegetation, rock structures, paintings, and carvings, etc. Several scenes show First Nations people in ceremonial rituals, including the dances of the great kangaroo, the water snake, and the wild honey dances.
