Description: In this puppet animation set against the background of Renaissance Venice, a philandering monk takes advantage of a beautiful lady's secret love for the Archangel Gabriel. He appears to her disguised in the Archangel's form with large goose-feather wings and a golden halo. The lady submits to him in an ecstasy of religious fervor. The monk, however, is proven a fraud and forced to flee the city,leaving a foolish Mother Goose to reclaim her lost honor.
