The filming was done on the Navajo reservation in Arizona in cooperation with the US Office of Indian affairs with the invaluable aid of the staff of the Navajo service. With the exception of Dr W. W. Peter, who plays the part of the doctor, all of the cast are real Indians. "The story of an Indian family makes one realize the sorrows that might be avoided if the disease were taken care of in the early stages. The recognition of the symptoms and methods of cure are shown. The type of emotional appeal needed in many branches of health work—one that gets to the heart of the problem by human interest."
